On Tuesday we Had a huge day at the Kuranda District State College glass slumping workshop.

22 enthusiastic participants worked steadily all day, with Students from grade 6, grade 12 and every grade in between attending.

We looked at a range of glass work that can be found in Kuranda, then produced experimental glass slump moulds in a variety of ways.

We produced so much that it will take a couple of weeks to get everything through the kiln - I hope to post some of the results here later.

Today I had the opportunity to work with students at Cairns State High School who are studying for an International Baccalaureate Diploma in Visual Art.

Students presented folios of their development work and talked about their concepts, themes, inspirations and intentions.

It was great to work with enthusiastic and talented young artists and to talk  with them about their work and future goals.

I'm part way through a series of workshops at Candlenut Rudolf Steiner School. Students are making multicolour T-shirt prints through combining hand cut paper stencils and photo-emulsion stencils. The students have worked excellently and we are beginning to see some great results.
