Hi. I'm Ian Whittaker

I'm an artist and teacher. I live and work in Cairns, Queensland, Australia.

I trained as a secondary Visual Arts teacher in Adelaide, graduating in 1989. Since then I have worked in Queensland, South India, Cambodia and Adelaide. I have taught mostly in Queensland state schools, but also in private international schools, youth detention centres, development organisations, for TAFE and as a freelance trainer.

My early enthusiasms were for ceramics, printmaking and painting. To these I have added digital drawing and animation, photography,  and publishing.
